I made a MISTAKE on this reel!.

After having Good come up first, I incorrectly placed Morning above. But... after taking a moment, I realised the layout offered a beautiful new, simple perspective shift. Not just an early greeting but these words are a suggestion, how can we make our morning...good?.

Never in pursuit of perfection, simply interested in incremental tweaking to improve flow, ease, contentment. Tiny transformations. What could you do to make your morning a good morning?.

Yogis amongst us will have our Sadhana. Intentional practice of stillness, movement, reflection and more. Purposeful pauses. But on the most basic level, we all have the power to nudge our way towards creating more space for ourselves in our lives. Mad eh, that we need to, but the intensity of our world isn't going away so creating sacred time is a must to cultivate.

You know it's coming... meditation, stillness, me time, a breath in the day. You know I'll alwaaays nudge you here. So simple, so incredibly powerful to find yourself each day in your lived experience.

My Friday return to moonsyogaloft has given me a magical morning escape and I'm now popping on an 11.30am-12.30pm slot if any of you fancy making it a morning good with me. Big love, Mx.

Before Christmas, I got to spend the afternoon with one of Ireland's greatest ever rugby players, and utter gentleman, Johnny Sexton sexton_johnny10 . We sat down and chatted all things, meditation, stillness, resilience, recovery, and the power of awareness/ control when it matters most!

It's just so incredible to have someone of his reputation and influence championing the benefits of this amazingly simple, yet widely misunderstood practice. Especially for younger minds, as well as the more tired vintage ones like my own!

My hope for 2025 is that more people realize the power they hold to be still, to regulate, to rest. And that I can help somewhat to demystify some of the preconceived ideas around what meditation actually is and how mindful awareness can support you in your day - whether you're taking an important kick or simply getting the kids out to school without a nervous breakdown ensuing!

Here's to a fantastic year with more people finding their power, the power of creating intentional stillness in their day! Moons x

If there was one small tip I could impart for the Christmas period it would be HUM. Hum hum hum hummmmm for yourself and EVERYone!.

We know research has shown us that humming can be an incredible stress-reliever...promoting parasympathetic nervous system activation and slowing down sympathetic stress responses. A beautiful vagus nerve love song mmmm.....
.
Why I share? MANYS a stress response will be felt in the body and mind over the coming days so when in doubt - hum it out. Hug (heart2heart) and hum if you can for a double dose of good vibrations! I promise, even if you are not a believer in the esoteric yogic world, you will feel for yourself the effects of this science backed pranyama (breathing technique). It's fantastic for kids and Rua has been doing it unprompted since he was one. These are the basics that I hope we can instill in our lil humans as they grow up in this overly stimulated world.

In a comparative study, it even emerged that humming was champion, generating the lowest stress index when compared to physical activity, emotional stress and sleep. Humming = The 🏆.

Even if you have sceptically spied this with a roll of your eye. I dare you to give it a try when the stuff hits the fan, and let me know. Go gently, take care and all the love this Christmas Eve. Moons x.

Coming out of my meditation this evening - this truth bubbled up light a warm hug in the darkness. Some solace inspired by Solstice. Meditation itself like a dose of daily darkness where you are at your most susceptible to little light love letters of...inspiration, clarification, compassion and understanding beaming out from the well within.
.
Within this Kaliyug we need to remember this power, our power on an individual level to create the much needed.... light. Within the chaos of our collective times the individuals return to the solace of practice, ritual, expansion of awareness and conscious living will act like a healing Iight in the darkness. It's so dark these days that we need only a spark to light up and awaken vast areas and many hearts.

Gach lá! A snapshot in time that was hiding in my drafts and too good not to share! Even though it's probably there so long that this trend has well and truly passed, but haha... I'm ok with not being trendy, we will call it... unique!

It gave me a smile and helped me reflect on how amazing we really are to fit so much joy, mayhem, productivity, play, mess into our day and realising yet again how I COULD not exist without my non-negotiable time for me. Call it med, call it space to be, call it whatever you like but if you're not taking time for the snow globe to settle then...this flurry of life will leave you with blurry vision trying to navigate. And believe me, I remember the time before med ...TBM - I was a pretty blurry lost mess a lot of the time. Counterproductively...ironically, running faster to try and find my way to clarity. Sound familiar.

Reflecting on brighter times!! This has been forgotten in the drafts for a while and couldn't, not share.
.
It's amazing what we pack into the day and this is only about 50% of the reality. I honestly don't think I'd get through the day or have enough awareness to maximize my capacity if it wasn't for meditation. Not to say that this is a reason to meditate but ...when you are in the thick of it, when the daily demands are mighty - it is certainly a lifeline like no other. Recalibration, reconnection, realignment, rest!.

I do love this little life.

December ... such a magical time of the year; the final step towards the deep restful wintering period we have all been waiting for, a time of cosy jumpers and warm drinks, Christmas sparkling in our eyes and hearts.
.
But between the increased social activity and fluctuating temps I know I need to make a better effort at really supporting my Wellbeing for the next few months. Daily meds - non negotiable, teaming with an infrared sauna when I can - delicious, bed earlier to make up for some later nights - definitely, more fuel as my appetite increases - adapting gracefully, being selective with what I say yes to - empowering, leaning into pyjama days - guilt free.
.
Most of what I work on with coaching clients is simply... accurately adapting to the life in front of them. To the life in front of you. Not the preferred lived experience or how things were - Cultivating increased awareness around how things ARE, how they can be better and how you are going to do it. Simple life design that is ever changing, seasonal, fluid and malleable to the many unknowns that arise.

Just some suggestions to ponder on this Sunday. How are you entering into December? What can you introduce, tweak, seek - to support greater wellbeing?.

I get it, it's freezing. The appeal to get out and wander amongst nature is pretty low due to our natural preference for a warm, safe, cost environment but ... we ARE nature... so getting out of our highly technological, synthetic worlds for a little bit every day is going to do incredible things for our bodies naturally intelligent regulatory systems. We wake up, in many ways.
.
Science stuff is great (below), stats and blah but ... I encourage you to simply test it out yourself and notice how it feels when you escape to nature for a while, even if it's a mid-morning walk around the block. YOU know, just like how meditating reminds us of what we know, nature reminds us how to heal. Natural intelligence that is already there, nature hasn't forgotten theirs so it's a great place to remember ours.
.
What can nature do? It can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, reduce nervous system arousal, enhance immune system function, increase self awareness, reduce anxiety, and improve your mood.

6x weeks for the full course, 3x weeks for one module. Free ongoing monthly meet up when we are done for all – this is true community. This live online offering is a marriage of Yoga Philosophy, Vedic Meditation and Life Coaching cooked up in fun, accessible to all format.⠀

Module 1: A meditation course (not class) that will give you the knowledge and tools for a permanent independent practice! Finish confident in your ability to meditate and excited to embark on this lifelong lifeline.

Module 2: A wellbeing management course. A structured, sustainable approach to creating tiny transformations to your daily life in order to create positive change. Observation, assessment, awareness, intention…

Following the course you will be warmly welcomed into the ‘Meditate with Moons’ community and invited to complimentary monthly gathers ongoing each month. Improving wellbeing is more than just a fitness decision, it’s a lifestyle transformation – which takes committed practice.

All courses and sessions provide excellent opportunities to move your body and harmonise body/mind/breath. What separates our offering apart from most is that we truly encourage an embodiment of the practice & strive to create a holistic approach to wellbeing that is adaptable to everybody. Every body is different and every body is different every day. We offer variations, support or progressions throughout all of our classes so be assured – we always facilitate an opportunity to take it at your own pace!

Slow Yoga Flow

A steady yoga practice will help build strength, flexibility, balance, focus and harmony. Each teacher will bring their own flavour to this offering but all will be based in Mindful Movement!

Yoga Strong

 A little spice but always approached in a slow mindful manner. Probably the only class on the schedule that is not beginner friendly. This one will always bring a playful smile and sometimes a sweaty challenge!

Mat Pilates

‘Pilates Precision. A carefully curated classical mat Pilates class, designed to strengthen, stabilise and support your other movement practices and your everyday life.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a deeply restorative style of yoga. Yin invites stillness of mind & body with gentle poses mostly floor based throughout. If you are looking for a deeply healing practice – you’ve found it!

Prenatal Flow Yoga

A strengthening & lengthening Yoga Flow specifically designed for expectant Mommas. Prepare your body & mind, take time to soak up the journey!

Mindful Strength

 This small group fitness class will combine many popular mind body training styles to enhance core strength, flexibility and total body conditioning. Mindful strengthening movement with awareness.

About Moons

Sinead Mooney (Moons!)   Meditation Instructor, Life Design Coach, Yoga Teacher, Wellbeing Facilitator and Studio Owner – Moons has been working in the wellbeing space in Ireland and abroad for over a decade. She is based at her Studio in Blackrock but runs her Yoga Holidays across Europe, her 5* Wellbeing Experiences at Carton House and also facilitates her Learn to Meditate Courses and Life Design Coaching online to a wide international community. A regular on the corporate and festival circuit both here and in the UK – she brings a wealth of experience to every class/talk/session/training/workshop she hosts. 

Although she is extremely serious about the power of these wonderful ancient wisdom traditions – she brings a modern, accessible and playful approach to everything she does. She really makes these transformative tools fun and achievable for everyone to use in better navigating their busy day to day lives!
